Screw conveyor, commonly known as auger, is suitable for short-distance horizontal or vertical conveying of powdery, granular and small pieces of materials. Screw conveyor is usually composed of screw conveyor body, inlet and outlet device and driving device. Screw conveyor has advanced structure, strong adaptability, low resistance, long service life, convenient maintenance and many protection devices. It has become one of the important equipment in the whole production link.

Screw conveyor is a general-purpose conveying equipment used to convey powdery, granular and small materials. All kinds of bearings work in dust. Therefore, under such working conditions, the screw conveyor needs regular maintenance in order to create more benefits for the enterprise.

The operation and maintenance requirements of screw conveyor are as follows:

1. The screw conveyor shall be started without load, that is, it shall be started when there are materials in the casing, and then move to feed the screw conveyor.

2. During the initial feeding of the screw conveyor, the feeding speed shall be gradually increased until the rated conveying capacity is reached, and the feeding shall be uniform, otherwise it is easy to cause the accumulation of conveying materials and the overload of the driving device, so as to damage the whole machine as soon as possible.

3. In order to ensure the no-load starting requirements of the screw machine, the feeding of the conveyor shall be stopped before stopping, and the operation shall be stopped after the materials in the casing are completely transported.

4. The conveyed materials shall not be mixed with hard large materials to avoid the damage of screw conveyor caused by screw jamming.

5. Check the working condition of all parts of the screw machine frequently during use, and pay attention to whether the fasteners are loose. If the fasteners are found to be loose, tighten the screws immediately to make them firm again.

6. Special attention shall be paid to whether the screw between the spiral pipe and the connecting shaft is loose, dropped or cut. If such phenomenon is found, it shall be stopped immediately and corrected.

7. The cover of the screw shaft shall not be removed during the operation of the machine to avoid accidents.

8. Any abnormal phenomenon during the operation of screw conveyor shall be checked and eliminated, and forced operation is not allowed.

9. All moving parts of screw conveyor shall be lubricated frequently.
