When designing the screw conveyor, the original conditions of the design must be determined. It includes:
(1) Output capacity;
(2) Material properties, particle size composition, bulk density, temperature, humidity, viscosity, abrasive properties, etc.;
(3) working environment (outdoor or indoor, dry or wet, how much dust, ambient temperature);
(4) Conveyor layout.
The determination of the helicoidal surface should be used to convey dry, low-viscosity, small-granular or powdery materials, and solid surface spirals should be used. For transporting blocky or medium-viscosity materials, belt-type spirals should be used. When the blade surface spiral is used, the material is often accompanied by mixing, stirring and other processes during the conveying process.
