The spiral tensioning device of belt conveyor is characterized by:

(1) Small tensioning force and short tensioning stroke; The low energy consumption of the screw tensioning device mainly depends on the size and length of the screw diameter. Because it is installed on the tail wheel frame and limited by the tail wheel support, the screw diameter and length are generally small. Therefore, the tensioning stroke is short and the tensioning force is small, so it is not suitable to be installed on the long-distance belt conveyor with long tensioning force.

(2) Simple structure and easy operation; When the belt needs to be tensioned, just rotate the screw with a wrench. The operation is simple and fast, the labor intensity of workers is small and the efficiency is high. For the belt conveyor with slight deviation, the belt deviation can be adjusted by rotating only one side of the tensioning screw and adjusting the parallel angle between the tail wheel and the head wheel.

(3) Small installation size and make full use of space; The overall dimensions of the screw and nut are usually small, the manufacturing difficulty is small, and the processing is easy. Moreover, they are installed on the tail wheel support, which makes full use of the space and saves the floor area of the equipment, so the cost of the whole machine is low.

(4) Low operation cost; Due to its self-locking characteristics, the screw has stable and reliable performance, good adaptability to the external environment and long service life. It can be used normally even under the harsh working conditions of large dust and mud. The price of spare parts of the tensioning device is not expensive, the maintenance and replacement time is short, and the labor intensity of maintenance workers is small, so the efficiency is high and the operation cost is low.
