The basic rules of belt deviation are as follows:

1. Loose or tight: During the transportation of the belt conveyor, if the center lines of the front and rear rollers are not parallel,Which can result in different tightness on both sides of the belt, also the belt will deviate to the loose side.

2.Tend to high point without low point: The belt conveyor machine will deviate to the high end.
Not only the Carrier idler and the belt are not at the same horizontal position, but also one side is in high point and the other side is in low point.
3. Backing running not in front running of belt conveyor : if the idler is not on the section perpendicular to the running direction of the belt, but in front of one end and behind the other end (depending on the running direction ), the belt will deviate from the backward end.

There are mainly five adjustment methods for belt deviation:

1. Method of adjusting tensioning mechanism:

The adjustment of belt tension is a very important link in the deviation adjustment of belt conveyor. In addition to being perpendicular to the belt length direction, the two deflection rollers at the upper part of the tensioning position of the heavy hammer shall also be perpendicular to the gravity vertical line, that is, to ensure that the axis centerline is horizontal. When screw tensioning is used, the two bearing seats of the tensioning drum shall be translated at the same time to ensure that the drum axis is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the belt. The specific adjustment method of belt deviation is similar to that at the drum. This method can effectively eliminate the belt deviation caused by belt relaxation and frame deflection.

2. Method of adjusting idler support:

When the belt deviates in the middle of the whole conveyor, which can adjust the idler support .

3. Adjusting and reversing drum method
Which is an important part of the belt deviation is adjust the reverse roller . The device position of all rollers must be perpendicular to the center line of the length direction of the belt conveyor. If the deviation is excessive, it will deviate. The adjustment method is similar to adjusting the idler support.

4. Adjusting frame of belt conveyor

When the height of both sides of the conveyor frame is different, the belt will tilt to the lower side of the frame during loading operation. At this time, the frame should be readjusted to keep the frame horizontal to prevent such deviation. In addition, leveling the idler group support with shims can also achieve the purpose of deviation correction.

5. Device deviation adjusting idler method

If the self-aligning idlers (flat roller or trough roller) are installed on the conveyor, the deviation of the belt can be corrected automatically.
